Travel Information

Is the Hotel easily accessible from near by airports?

We are conveniently accessible from two international airports: Toronto’s Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is just an hour away. Canada’s largest airport offers over 300 nonstop flights daily from over 35 airlines (non stop service to 25 Canadian and 53 United States destinations). An alternative is Niagara/Buffalo International Airport (BUF), 30 minutes away, offering nonstop service to 18 cities. Additionally, corporate aircraft can use the Niagara District Airport just 15 minutes away.

By Car, Niagara Falls is easily reached via the Queen Elizabeth Highway, Ontario’s major roadway which connects to Toronto, Canada’s largest city, and the New York State Thruway system.

Will I be near area attractions?

The Niagara Falls Crowne Plaza Hotel is close to it all. The hotel is connected to the Falls Avenue entertainment and attraction complex through direct indoor walkways, and is a short walk from adventures around the Falls, and a short drive from scenic wine country. See the Explore Niagara Page here for more information.

What should I know about before traveling to Canada?

Currency: Due to exchange rate fluctuations, the most beneficial method of payment would be by credit card. The balance owing would be charged to the card in Canadian, and then processed into USD by the credit card company based on the rate of the day. The Front desk may be able to do an exchange in small denominations, however, a local bank would be the best option.

Electricity: Outlets and voltage (110 volts) are the same as in the United States.

Language: Canada’s two official languages are English and French, but English is the predominant language in Ontario. Many banks, hotels, airline offices, service institutions, shops and key tourist destinations have multilingual staff.
